Keenan Daniel Blair, 36, formerly of Fortville Indiana, passed away April 13, 2022. He was born to Carl and Penny Blair on May 26, 1985, at I.U. Medical Center, Indianapolis.
Keenan attended Pendleton Heights High School and was an avid wrester for the Arabians. He enlisted in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman on July 7, 2006 and was assigned to the 101st Airborne 327th Infantry 2nd battalion 1st Brigade Combat Team. He was deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom on September 20, 2007 through November 17, 2008. Keenan was discharged with honors as an SGT/E-5 on August 2009.
After leaving the Army, he earned his Associates Degree in Paramedicine from Northern Virginia Community College earning his Paramedic Certification in 2011. After which, he was employed by the Wayne Township Fire Department Indianapolis. After serving at Wayne Township, he was employed by Triple Canopy (Blackwater) as a high threat security medic for the U.S. State Department and was assigned to the personal Security detail for the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq and U.S. Dignitaries.
After serving five deployments as a security specialist, Keenan was employed by St. Vincent StatFlight as a flight paramedic working in a critical care environment. During his employment with StatFlight he also worked part time for Morgan County EMS. Keenan was offered a full-time Training Officer position with Morgan County EMS and shortly after was promoted to Deputy Director. On October 18, 2021 the Morgan County Commissioners appointed Keenan as the Director of Morgan County EMS.
